200 People, 7 Monorail Trains. MERDEKA TRAIN PARTY!

Its all about Malaysia. 3 main parties, one wicked idea and here comes a colorful day filled with sweats plus lots of walking. It was the Merdeka Train Party that i was talking about. On the 31st of August 2009, a bunch of 200+ future leaders of Malaysia gathered together and did something to show the world or at least the whole Malaysia that we can still be united achieving a same objective.

The plan was to fully or more specifically partially decorate the interior of a train with the props provided to celebrate this very significant date for us Malaysians. The independence day that is.

Though the exact meeting time is at 2pm, the usual 30 minutes late magic that happens all the time was clearly not working on the day itself. Instead, people started gathering since 1.30pm.

Soon enough, there were short briefing sessions where everyone gets a set of instructions. 7 teams in total where ZaidHD & NikiCheong leading the crews with 14 leaders leading every other people in the teams.

For me myself i was leading team 2 with Diyana, someone i knew back in the trip to Manchester early this year. All of the teams were given instructions to do some serious business in 7 monorail trains. Each trains with 2 compartments. One team One Train.

In no time, we transformed the interior of the train from this...

to this!!!

It was at Titiwangsa Monorail station that the train was fully decorated into what you won't normally see daily. Though there were lots of Malaysians who got lost having no idea on what are they getting in the whole journey, many of them did smile, cheered and even sang with us!

We shouted Merdeka from time to time and sang Happy Birthday Song a couple of times. It was crazy but it is all these little things that unite us all together.

There were lots of people saying that there's no more hope for Malaysia, pointing at the various negative headlines reported every single day by the mainstream media but from what i see, there's still people having lots of faith in the future of Malaysia keeping the words Malaysia Boleh by their mouths.

Through out the different stops where passengers getting in and out the train, i observed that there were the elder ones who smiled happily looking at the decorations, some even playing with the balloons and such singing along with us shouting Merdeka. Young ones were clapping delightfully.

Quite an encouraging scene i must say being able to participate in this project. At least i am still on a more brighter side thinking more positively at the end of the day.

After everything, everyone gathered at Tun Sambanthan station to get a big group picture.

Fast Update #76 Take a Break, Merdeka is Here!

Looking at the recent invites in the past few weeks on Facebook on events that's happening this weekend especially youth camps by different churches, i was pretty sure that the next few days will be sorta special where many Malaysians would carefully plan this short break somewhere else staying away from all the shits that's happening in the political scene.

As for me, i'll be going heading out of town tomorrow, to a place not too faraway, Kam Lets All Ascape Gather-gether. If you can figure it out that is.

To everyone else out there, have a fun weekend, please don't do stupid things like self suicide or so and please stay away from anyone that carries a cow's head around or anything that is related to a cow. As far as possible. Have Fun. Merdeka! Ya right...

Not an Ordinary Birthday Bash.

All these years, i've been celebrating my birthday with only some closer peeps around with just some simple come-out-and-gather sessions, blowing the candle and cutting the cake and if i get lucky i'll get a present and that's the end of the story.

Never have i celebrated my birthday as in making it massively big inviting every single earthling i know getting everyone together to sing song for me and everyone must join in playing games that involves both sexes. Booking a place and such with a space of our own, perhaps a pool party or a club and so never really went through my mind before.

All because i am not in a position to even think of making it happen with the fact being that i'm a poor dude.

The noisiest birthday i had was most probably a few years back. It was noisy because a few of my close friends planned to have it at RedBox, Karaoke that is.

However, i'm glad enough having the bunch of close people willing to get out from their comfy homes celebrating my birthday with me along the years and before this post gets sadder i must share that there's this ultimate birthday bash coming up.

review on Murderer 殺人犯

Thanks to Nuffnang, i just watched one of the most disturbing movie of the year. Not only it was disturbing, it was quite "DUH".

With the award winning actor Aaron Kwok 郭富城 acting as Ling in this movie, i was quite confident that this movie won't go any wrong anyhow.

That was before i entered the cinema.

Everything was pretty well done, from the start of the whole mysterious horrifying scene, the various strong characters that were built and shown, to where it shows that every single clue and evidence points that Ling is the murderer in the serial killing cases.

Everyone was kept in the dark about the truth and i was busy guessing who was the actual killer as i was pretty sure that Ling won't be the killer himself.

and when the movie reaches till the last few stages, i was right!! BINGO!! but the whole twist to the storyline, how the truth was revealed and what really happened was all pretty laughable. It was like a big joke, imagine like your bf/gf of several years suddenly tell you that she/he never loved you before or your parents revealed to you that they're not your biological parents. Darn.

I thought that it was pretty stupid that the storyline turned out to be that way where i felt totally speechless at the end of the movie. You'll understand what i'm saying if you watch it.

Good thing that Chang Chun-Ning 張鈞甯 was in the movie, an actor i liked since she got popular through the series The Hospital 白色巨塔 which i've followed previously.

SONNY BEST LA!!! 仔仔很屌!!!

Go watch this movie IF AND ONLY IF you're a big fan of Aaron Kwok 郭富城 bah if not don't waste your time. Like seriously.

My Rating for this movie is 5/10
*3 for Aaron's acting, 1 for Chang Chun-Ning 張鈞甯 and 1 more for 仔仔!! 仔仔 FTW!!
**oh and i think Aaron can be the HK version of Joker. Don't you think? With the pictures above he can kick Bruce Wayne's ass man!

Comic Books and Me

You know, there's this comic book shop, not the newer ones with nice decoration and all with different sections and area with proper organized stacked comics. This one near my house is quite an old shop where i would normally go to and get my weekly dosage of comic books.

Yeh i used to frequent that place a lot heading back home spending my time lying down on my bed where i do less activities that involves going online.

and i must say, i felt awesomely satisfied when i was reading the comics i got recently. After so long. Urghh..

Oh and on another note, Comic Fiesta 09 will be conducting a booklet contest and details of

Now i'm going to return the books shown in the picture above and get more of them!! Hehe. Ciao!

Ah Sang Bak Kut Teh @ Sungai Way

It was a sunny day where a few of us planned this lunch trip to welcome Amy back to Malaysia. She was studying in UK previously and she's back just to renew her visa ha.

So it was Ah Sang Bak Kut Teh for lunch on a Sunday noon, the 9th of August 2009 to be exact. The infamous Bak Kut Teh place that claims that you don't have to get all the way to Klang to get your dosage of BKT, just go to Ah Sang and you'll get it.

and with the various food reviews on the internet by fellow foodies, this very place providing BKT will at least be at a certain standard that is.

There's lotsa people there when we reached there and we were lucky to find an empty table i suppose. Took a few pictures before we started. and here comes the food.

We ordered the standard portion of BKT for 6 person with almost everything available in it except for the special parts, the intestines that is. Pork ribs, Pork meat(fat and less fat ones), Golden Mushrooms, Fu Chok and along with it is a plate of Sang Choi.
*yau char kwai sold out at that time already. =(

The Bak Kut Teh there weren't as good as most people described, the herbal taste wasn't that strong as how i preferred but then the meats were quite nice, soft and tender to my liking where the Sang Choi was just nice for me. The price per person is RM11 and we had a plate of Sang Choi with a few more extra bowls of rice so it was around RM13 for a person.

Still fine with me as i don't frequent BKT that much haha but seriously if you ask me i would prefer the BKT at Kepong or at Jalan Ipoh as this one @ Sungai Way isn't way better than the 2 mentioned ones that is nearer to my place. =)

How was your weekend?

I'm still pretty disturbed with this at the moment. Not to mention having a few other personal stuffs i have to deal with.

but I'm really glad that in these days, i still have people around that i could talk freely with and share stuffs that's a little bit more personal. These people will just get lesser and lesser along the years.

I didn't even expect to get some hometown specialties from a fellow ex-college mate.

Thanks to YewJoe for that.

Compared to the eventful weekends i had sometimes, this very weekend was quite a quiet one for me. A peaceful one, spending more times with friends from other circle.

Going out to yumcha sessions, playing 2 games of Dota on a Friday night.

Then its Saturday already, it feels good playing basketball again after being absent for almost a month, not to say i'm pretty good in it, i enjoyed the run and sweat seeing the people again after being MIA for a month.

then, there's this stupid event which i don't event want to elaborate on attending it with a few of the usual. Most stupid event ever i call that.

Watched the match between Manchester United and Wigan during the night.

It was quite a roller coaster ride watching the match resulting in 5 goals scored by ManUtd in the second half with a sucky first half. Nothing much to boast about being a ManUtd fan as its only Wigan where ManUtd lost to Burnley in the last match but heck, it was still nice watching them scoring.

Watched this movie later in the night. AGAIN.

and the next thing i know, we're up on Genting already. Somewhere i wished to go and relax since end of last month.

Had dim sum for breakfast after the random Genting trip. That's about it, my weekend. At some certain extend, i'm a happy person and having fun in life, but at the same time, i'm kinda struggling when it comes to reality, breaking out from the whole picture and going to the next picture seems so hard to me at the moment.

I guess things will just get right and be ok at the end of the road right?
Right?

review on Laughing Gor 之变节 : Turning Point

It was just last night i watched this movie with a couple of friends at Tropicana Mall. The first day of screening for this movie in Malaysia.

Before this, i've been following a specific police trainee 学警 drama series by Hong Kong TVB all these years from On the First Beat (学警出更) to The Academy (学警雄心) to E.U (学警狙击) and there's this character call Laughing Gor (Laughing哥) in the last mentioned series E.U which captured the hearts of millions of viewer all over the world and i even blog about a group on facebook created just for the character itself having more than 100 thousand users joining it.

The infamous character, Laughing Gor with the acting of Michael Tse 谢天华, a Hong Kong actor who didn't really shine through out his 20 years of carrier gained instant fame during the broadcast period of the series and almost immediately they decided to film a movie out of the character itself.

and the character itself is NOT the main character in the drama series. LOLx. With 2 award winning best actors along the years 黄秋生 Anthony Wong and 呉鎮宇 Francis Ng who are both well known in Triads (三合會/黑社会) related film, i must say that this movie is one of the best Hong Kong made Triad film since Internal Affairs 无间道 and i felt that its filmed in a way more similar to the Young & Dangerous 古惑仔 movies which i like quite a lot.

Though Michael Tse 谢天华 is the main character in this movie, i kinda feel that both黄秋生 Anthony Wong and 呉鎮宇 Francis Ng had more scenes and presented more in this movie itself.

It is a movie talking about spies. The police force sending spies into the triads and vice versa with lotsa complications in between. Just like Internal Affairs 无间道, this movie describe a little here and there about the life being a spy betraying people and the dark side of it not able to convert back and lead a normal lives and such.

As usual, I won't really talk much about the storyline itself as i would prefer you heading to the cinema to watch it yourself. Its a great movie i think by Hong Kong and of course, there are quite a few parts where its funny and such.

and oh, Fala Chen 陈法拉 was given a role to be Laughing Gor's girlfriend in the movie. Good news for all the people out there that like her. Like me. Haha. I must say that her acting is good in this movie although she's given a smaller role compared by the names mentioned above, i still enjoy watching the movie with her in it.

At the end of the movie, the MAIN CHARACTERS in the Hong Kong Drama series E.U (学警狙击) made a cameo appearance. Though 黄秋生 Anthony Wong and 呉鎮宇 Francis Ng played quite an important role in this movie, i still think that Michael Tse 谢天华 did his little magic as Laughing Gor in this movie and i still like that character itself with a big smile coming out from the cinema hall.

For those who love the drama series and the character itself, you must go and watch this movie, for those who have no idea who's Laughing Gor and what's E.U (学警狙击), you can still watch this movie as an independent film itself. Do watch it!! =)

Resume For Blogging Job

Here i am writing a blog post that's related to the recruitment of an Official blogger for a TV reality television series.

From the requirements, i would say that i definitely fit in.

I can commit for a total of 4 months in Singapore, i'm fluent in both English and Chinese and i can blog more than 80 blog posts in the period given!

Let me just share what i've done thus far with my blog.

I've been fortunate enough to get invited to Media events which involves big companies such as Canon, Nokia, Hennessy, Coca-Cola and not forgetting; I was one of the affiliated blogger for Comic Fiesta 2008.

Besides that, i've also blogged about various events, from music events, dance events to clubbing ones, concerts. I truly enjoy blogging these stuffs as I get to give my readers not only my personal opinion but also a clearer picture of an event.

Sometimes, i will add some self compiled videos to make my post more appealing. Videos examples here MINT Magazine Launch, LG Malaysia Blog Launch, Tiger Stand Out Party & the recent Eason's Moving on Stage 26 Concert.

Following a few reality series such as Malaysian Dream Girl 1 & 超级星光大道 of Taiwan and etc along the years blogging about it as an audience, being so, i believe i have a few valuable thoughts and insight to share with the people behind the scene.

Last but not least, i've made lot of friends through blogging where i love meeting people and i would love to work with the people behind the scene getting more experience.

I hope that I can take my blogging experience a step further and get this job as HPSpace’s official blogger as I’ll do my best!

It was one good night with good company. Heineken Green Room at Zouk KL The very first day of August 2009 that is.

A bunch of us was there including Nigel, David, Kelli, HsuJen, Yatz and Aaron. =)

It was these dudes, Filthy Dukes, a Synthpop band from London, England that was there to rock the Main Room with their kinda music that involves lotsa synthesizer plays and i find their music very loud but at the same time i like it as well. Haha Complications.

Met up later on in the night with Jamie and Ren and lepak-ed at Barsonic instead with the DJ Didjital there rocking as ever. We all know who is him xD

At the end of that night i must say i felt pretty dull then, perhaps i was still bothered by the FML accident that is. Nevertheless, the music by Filthy Dukes did a little bit of its magic having me moving a bit. Yea, a bit.

At the end of the day, its the company that matters. =)

Japanese Drama Buzzer Beat Best!!

Along the years i've follow lots of drama/series including the ones produced by the people at Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and US as well. There are different types of storyline with different time line and history background and such. Some i quit watching after a few episodes where some i'll follow closely and i actually find myself really attracted to a certain type of drama/series. The ones that are related to basketball.

Other than One Tree Hill which have a span of a few seasons already which i felt lazy to follow from the start, i've watch a few basketball related drama/series which includes the ones shown above where 3 of them are from Taiwan and 1 from China. Lolx

Then, just yesterday, i found this new drama Buzzer Beat from Japan which is related to basketball as well. Immediately i added all the latest 5 episodes into my download list and finished it all today. I actually find this one very interesting with a much better storyline with not-so-fake basketball moves.
*all of the drama shown above have lots of scenes that look extremely fake and the storyline is just so so only.

Other than that, there's a very complicated relationship among the characters in this drama. There's this girl who's an artistic person with an ambition being a violinist being in a relationship with the coach but secretly like one of the players. There's this another girl who cheated on his boyfriend sleeping with another player in the same basketball team. Complicated No?

I enjoyed watching the series thus far with more episodes coming out each Monday, yes its not finish yet and i hope there will be more scenes of basketball games though some of the actors sucked in playing lolx but at least the way on how they film it is good and its not THAT fake.

and ah, one of the leading actress in this series, Keiko Kitagawa 北川景子 acted in an international film before!!

Well if you're like me who's interested in basketball related drama/series, do try out this one.

陈奕迅 Eason's Moving On Stage 26 Live In Malaysia @ Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach

It was at the end of the year 2007 that this whole Moving On Stage tour started in Hong Kong with Eason 陈奕迅 and the whole team of people going to cities around the world having concerts in Taiwan, Japan, Canada, China, Macau, USA, Malaysia and etc.

and just yesterday night it was the very last stage of the whole tour that was scheduled within 2 years time. It was the Eason's Moving On Stage 26 Live In Malaysia @ Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach!!

All thanks to Chee Hwa who got a free ticket worth RM298, i was at the zone just in front of the stage. The same exact stage for MTV World Stage Concert the previous day. Smart fellas organizing 2 events 2 days back to back earning money from both sides.

It was superbly packed when i reached the place. The concert was suppose to start at 8pm and the picture above was taken at around 7.50pm. Duh!

I don't really care to line up and you can hate me for that i cut queue and eventually got in faster then 99% of people in the picture above. Lolx heck the concert started already when i got in, walking the whole long way to the surf beach, its already the 2nd song.

The whole place was already packed with people holding TM "hands" in the air waving and shouting. I would say that the crowd there would be equivalent to the crowd at MTV World Stage. Insane!!

The concert started with songs like K歌之王 and 背包, the well known ones by Eason himself.

After a few songs of his own, Eason started presenting some of the classic songs in Hong Kong music industries, songs by the likes of Jacky Cheung 张学友, Leon Lai 黎明, Leslie Cheung 张国荣 and Aaron Kwok 郭富城 with the titles 这个冬天不太冷 , 我的亲爱, 无心睡眠, 狂野之城. Dancers were surrounding Eason and the crowd went crazy when Eason sang the songs mentioned above. You can view the video posted below recorded by me to see it yourself. xD

Eason's not new in the music industry and i knew that he could sing and such, all these while i only listen to such mainstream Chinese/Cantonese music on my computer and ONLY in such concert, you could really feel and experience how good one singer is being in an amazing atmosphere where you would automatically move yourself even if you're a shy person inside out.

It was a few months ago i first attended a concert by Chinese artists/singers with singers from Taiwan like 梁文音 Rachel Liang, 高以爱 Alisa Galper, 神木與瞳 Y2J and that was when i see the obvious difference in Live Singing and Recording type of Singing. It was totally different it takes a whole lot more for a singer to sing live in front of massive crowd.

The famous Hong Kong artists 陈奕迅 Eason of course is well known with his singing and such and i wont get surprise that he get to hug the girls receiving a massive reception from the crowd. xD.

Anyways, back to the concert...

there were appreciation sessions,

there were good performance

and there's good songs to listen to.

Its free for me so i couldn't really complaint much there, though through the videos i watched recorded in other Moving On Stage concerts in other cities that the performances was better and such, i'm thankful enough that good things like this that come along my way since the FML accident.

I was not there exactly when the concert started but i must say that the concert ended awesomely well. There was even fireworks after the last song!!! BEST!!! Watch the fireworks here!!

Oh and one specific thing i noticed during the concert which i find it pretty amusing. Look at the few pictures below to see if you see what i saw xD

If you haven notice it yet, the dancers, band members were taking pictures up on stage during the performances and such Lolx. Something you rarely see in concerts by western singer/artists. I won't say its not professional la as i find it quite entertaining Haha.

MTV World Stage Live At Malaysia @ Sunway Surf Beach

It was one of a kind! Being in the largest crowd in a pool. Yah. 20,000 people in a venue that was a surf beach when there's no other events. xD

The very first time a MTV World Stage music event happening in Malaysia itself. With big names such as Boys Like Girls, Pixie Lott, Raygun, Hoobastank, The All-American Rejects, Kasabian and our very own local band Estranged. Having to win the passes from TheStar Rage @ Twitter, i was looking forward to this very weekend going to Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach for this event.

It was as early as 2pm i left home heading to Sunway all thanks to Nigel & Kelli for the ride.

Met up with HsuJen, David/Royalshortness and her sister a.k.a QuirkyPrincess

Being not as privileged as the people who got tickets to MoshPit, we walked all the way to Sunway Lagoon's main entrance before entering Red Zone, the Surf Beach area where the concert is going to happen.

There were lots of people already at around 4pm and it actually rained for a couple of minutes where everyone started to wear the rain coat given by the sponsors.

and i was glad i met up with PekSan!!

Anyways, soon the concert started and everyone was cheering and shouting, jumping and clapping their hands not to mention there were some idiotic morons who threw stuffs on and off during the concert. Hope nobody got hurt. Zzz.

Let me just comment a little bit here and there about the performers.

Estranged
Having a local act being up on stage in an event that is broadcasted in 150 countries makes me proud being a Malaysian but of course, obviously, there were more people who support the other performers compared to our local boys. For me i would say that overseas music is at a much higher level than local ones. I can see the big difference when Boys Like Girls performed on stage where i compared on how they play and sing and interacts with the crowd. No Match AT ALL!.

I felt pretty strange when not many people turned up on a special appearance of them at Sony Style - The Curve Damansara just days ago before the District 9 premiere and found out that they had lotsa fans here in Malaysia where everyone was basicly shouting out loud at the first drumbeat. Martin Johnson made the whole crowd go crazy when he started climbing up on one of the stand beside the stage. These guys were good!

Pixie Lott
As sweet and attractive as ever, this 18 year old who emerged into the international scene not long ago was the only female singer performing in this very music event. Having her performing is like adding some different element in this whole event to make it more interesting and i could see that she can really sing and such. Too bad that the band that was playing looks and sound pretty fake to me, singer can lipsync and so i call this a BANDSYNC. It was very obvious that every single song, the sound of the drums were different and the tempo and all were different with the song when the drummer played some parts. Gahhh. Anyhow it was still interesting. All because she's attractive nyahahahahaa. =D

Raygun & Kasabian
Alright for the performance from these 2 sides, i was either paying more attention on my extremely tired leg or i was wandering faraway in some unknown realm. Didn't really pay attention on them. Maybe just not my type of music though. I don't mean that they are bad, they both have record selling albums with fans all over the world so i guessed its just me myself. I just felt bad for Kasabian because they were the last to performed and lots of people already left the scene went The All-American Rejects finished their performance.

Obviously one of the crowd favourite and one of the best performers in this event itself. I was having a numb leg by then with a sticky body being in a pool of 20,000 people. Everyone should be insanely exhausted already when they came up on stage as its like 4 hours past since the start of the whole event. Instead, everyone, well almost everyone(except me because i was too tired) went ecstatic and jumping crazily. Good performers, good crowd, NICE!

Hoobastank
When most of the people i know who attended this event said that The All-American Rejects was the best, i thought that Hoobastank rocks most!! I preferred their music more and of course, they were one of the crowds favourites as well with lots of fans in the event including me myself. Hoobastank had the crowd going crazy when they played a song with cheers and replies from the crowd shouting: "GHOST BUSTERS!". Totally unexpected and awesome at the same time!! Of course, Hoobastank was THE REASON i was looking forward to this event and when the famous sound of the guitar plucking came out, i went T__T.

Despite the stupid long intervals between different acts, the RM5 drinks and the rain earlier on, not to mention the amount of time spent standing with stupid people smoking around me having my sore legs, it was still a good event. I hope that they do bring better acts next time, a BIG TIME one with lots of record breaking histories behind them and so. Well, many said it sucked but i thought it was good enough. Having to attend this whole thing for free, i won't say it sucked, if you get what i mean. =)

Bloggers Gone Crazy Past Midnight

The last time i saw a bunch of bloggers gone crazy in the middle of the night was like lotsa months ago earlier this year. They even got horny and such started talking stuffs about ***.

and just only, all of a sudden, there's this random group of bloggers started going crazy on Innit chatbox. AGAIN. T_T

and because i was freaking hungry, i joined in the craze too.... *laughs*

Yea, as stupid as it seems, we're a bunch of uber-super-sangat-very-很-非常-超级-hyperactive bloggers getting excited this very hour at this very weekend. I don't really know why the others got excited but i'm excited because of this!!

Singapore with Her.

The start of last weekend was some kinda disaster for me where i received a few bad news just last Thursday and the whole thing kinda got to me. With that i made a last minute decision to head down all the way south to Singapore.

and i didn't even know that its around Singapore's National Day!! Awesome!! Oh and i went down to Singapore alone by myself. xD

It was an insane trip i must say, with the awesome public transportation service available there, i went to a couple of places, with my day spent on walking and walking and walking only. Not shopping or anything else but just walking.

I was told that most Singaporeans is not in town during the day after Singapore's National Day and they would go to Malaysia to shop. True enough, i have 2 friends who's in Singapore being in Malaysia when i was in Singapore.

Very much impress with the public transportation service over there, i didn't spend much time waiting and instead had more time to observe the places over there.

Most of the streets were pretty quiet with not much vehicles on the road and i had a great time walking relaxing myself putting almost everything behind my back for a moment. Getting away from reality that is.

A big thanks to my girl who's currently in Singapore, it was because of her i felt much more better after going through all the shitty stuffs back in Malaysia. Of course, if it wasn't because of her, i wouldn't know where and how to go to here and there in Singapore. Laughs.

Going to places like Tanjong Pagar, Raffles Place, Orchard, Bugis, City Hall, Espanade, Suntec City, Outram park, Harbour Front, Vivocity, Buona Vista and etc changing trains 8 times and bus for 4 times. It was one heck of a trip.

The dinner, and the last bus we took, that was the last thing for us and at the end of the day, i really couldn't ask for more.

Though there's still a very long road to walk, with lots of unwillingness and now that i'm already missing her a lot already, i really hope that every single thing would be fine at the end of the day.

I wish that i am still spending time with her just right beside me at this moment.

Fast Update #73 The Night That Was, Meteor Wor.

It was a quick one. An extremely quick decision. Reaching back home from the screening of District 9 reading the conversations on Innit and heading to the destination in the next hour was kinda a last minute decision.

All just to catch a glimpse of the Perseid Meteors that is. Thanks to the haze and cloudy sky, i only managed to got hold of just a few blinks that's all and it was on Mike's cam that i could see a small patch of meteor. That's it.

and that was the end of the night.

Meteor Wor. Another time bah. Perhaps. =)

review on District 9

Woots! I just came back from the screening of District 9 at Cineleisure! All thanks to Sony Pictures.

It was not an ordinary movie, with lots of strong and firm values it in.

Not those kinda Aliens invade Earth movie where you would see war declared between both sides and president of US negotiating and such, Nope not those. The whole time line of the story in this movie have a total span of 20+ years with an unknown giant alien aircraft appearing in the sky in South Africa at the start of the movie.

The rest of the story i shall leave it to you yourself to go and find out in the cinema. =)

Basicly, the themes of this movie are quite well translated and it was pretty much into many hearts i believe when the world is going to watch it when it is officially out.

It was about 2 sides and which sides are you at. The main character of this movie, who was originally on the human side was caught in the middle negotiating on behalf of the humans changed sides later on. Unwillingly of course but there is no other way.
*sounds like Sarah Kerrigan for me. xD if you know who she is

What message does it brings to you, that is up to you to translate then. Hmm.

It just reminds me of the political scene of Malaysia though especially this one person who was once the deputy prime minister of Malaysia. I call him A.I. Lets not start on that then, watch it then you'll get the picture!

Anyways with the way on how they film the gun fights and such with alien weaponry, it was very realistic and i'm sure you'll get Wow when you watch them. Of course, siu mui mui and siu di di below the age 18 are advise to be with their parents when they watch it. Its pretty violent i must say. Involve lotsa blood here and there.

and for those who are going to watch it, expect a rather dull period at the start of the movie and it would be more and more interested later on. Oh and i must say that not everyone would accept this movie. =)

My Rating for this movie is 7/10.

review on On His Majesty's Secret Service 大内密探灵灵狗

Just came back from a YumYum session of IndoMee at Williams and was at Tropicana City Mall before that for the movie His Majesty's Secret Service 大内密探灵灵狗.

A movie starring Louis Koo (古天乐) and Barbie Hsu (徐熙媛) where the story runs in China when they were still emperors ruling with the story going around in the forbidden city. It was a typical Chinese movie storyline with some of the ministers planning to overthrow the current emperor and the good guys come out to save the day.

There was this 12 Royal Guards including Royal Dog the main character in this movie and of course the head of Eunuchs, Unicorn starred by Louis Fan (樊少皇)

Though there's actors/actress from Taiwan/China, this Hong Kong production is one of the many lousy movie made since the days of Young and dangerous 古惑仔, Gamble 赌 series and Infernal Affairs 无间道. The storyline is just fine and the ones in the movie were good in acting and such but there isn't a single point where you would go Wow, i didn't expect that!! This is good stuffs!!

There were lotsa parts that have the comedy factor in it but it was either too stupid or too lame and i don't really feel the HAHA in it.

Nor i feel WAHH!

The peeps in Hong Kong really need to do something with it i think. Make more films like Ip Man 叶问 or Look for a Star 游龙戏凤. Well the movie is still much watchable la, just for spending your time and relaxing that is. =)

I do hope that 风云 Storm Riders 2 that will be coming out end of this year is good.

Smirnoff Manchester United Party

I almost forgot about this whole thing. The event that shows 2 champions joining in hands displaying the spirit of champions. It was on the 17th of July 2009 at Metropol Bar, Menara Hap Seng.

This event itself is actually a pre-party to the Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 that happened just last month. One day before the first match itself.

One of the legend of Manchester United, Bryan Robson was the secret VIP guest that night and the EPL trophy was there as well. That was the main reason i opted to attend this event than going for a movie screening that was happening at the same time at The Gardens. =)

There were games sessions going on the whole night for people to get drinks coupons and if one were to collect up to 50 coupons, they can exchange for a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka.

A bunch of us bloggers were there and a few of us managed to get 50 coupons each. The rest of the party, I'll leave it to your imaginations. xD

and again, Thanks to Smirnoff for the tickets to the match. =D

Thanks to UIP, i managed to catch this specific movie 2 days earlier than the official screening day in Malaysia just yesterday night. Asked Hing Swee at the very last hours to the movie meeting up with a few of the close ones at Mid Valley around 9pm.

If you're one of the 1980s babies then i'm quite sure you've heard about G.I Joe before or perhaps watch the cartoon on TV before. Though some of you might be same like me as i don't have much memories on this cartoon, not as much as Transformers, all i remembered is this super ultimate bad guy with a mask on wearing some uniform with the cobra logo and there's a big cobra statue in their base.

and i don't remember anyone on the good side, the Joes. lolx

Alright, i'll keep the spoilers at minimum and talk about how good/bad is this movie. I'll try. Haha. No promises.

It is a movie filled with action, CG graphics, a storyline which is pretty good, not awesome but just nice, and the movie was quite fast in terms of pace. The whole story focuses on this awesome kick ass nano technology ultimate weapon where the bad guys and good guys fighting over it.

and i like the storyline on how they slowly build up the storyline for me to understand every bit of the story in this movie, how did the hating come and such and why did he have to do so, what actually happen back then and such.

Short to say, i had enough time to digest part 1 before it goes to part 2 and it was good that way.

There were a few humorous scenes here and there along with a few flashbacks as well.

and hmm, what more...

There're kick ass ninjas in this movie!

There're some high-tech multi-million weaponry suits where your body will act faster than usual, when you think about doing something, you are already doing it Lolx.

and There're these secret bases which i use to always imagine myself being in such places when i was a little kid. =X

and and and uh oh the BARONESS is teh hawt! =X =X =X

I was only a bit disappointed on their CG graphics scenes. There were a few scenes where its kinda TOO fake for me, and that's why i think that Transformers 2 is still the best movie this year.

Scarlett is teh hawt as well but i still prefer Baroness xD

So, after all i didn't really reveal much about this movie right?

Lolx The best part of the movie was at the end of the movie where everything gets really exciting. There's even this super awesome aircraft, the suborbital NIGHT RAVEN that cruises at a top speed of Mach 6 ifyouknowwhatimtalkingabout because imyselfalsodontknowwhatamitalkingabout. =X Mach 6 wor. Swt.

Its a nice movie and all and its definitely worth your money watching it in a cinema so do head to the cinema to get all the action of ~~Baroness~~ the Joes! Thanks to UIP again and of course the one who got it from UIP youknowwhoyouare. =)

PC Fair August 2009 : AVIRA 1-0 KASPERSKY

The most recent PC Fair that was held from 31st July to 2 August 2009 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center happens to be another war scene as well. Despite having the massive 20,000 Malaysians protesting on ISA, the whole event still went on smoothly.

and of course, one of the main attraction in such event along the years are the models/promoters hired by various companies.

For this recent PC Fair in KL, i have friends saying that there aren't that much models/promoters compared to previous PC Fair, but there were more pretty ones this time round. =X

and these girls at Avira Antivirus booth clearly made their way to the most photographed models of the event. If you searched around on Google and browse the few forums that have related pictures posted then you'll know why i said so.

but eh Kaspersky ones weren't any bad compared to Avira ones. Both antivirus booth have nice decent pretty looking girls but why Avira caught more attention? lolx.

What's so special about their product? I really have no idea as i'm using NOD32 Antivirus xD

I would say that the strategically position of the booth plus a higher platform built there managed to do its magic on the crowd and lotsa photographers were clearly heading to that way to snap pictures after pictures......

Okay la i admit that Avira have much more prettier girls on their side.

Perhaps it's Jackie Chan's fault. Some kinda joke from Kaspersky i think. Yah it's his fault la.
and if Avira & Kaspersky were to have an underground war on sales and such in this PC Fair, i think Avira won the war hands down legs down everything down!!

I don't mean to say that the other booths have no pretty looking girls, just not that much only. These 2 girls in the 2 pictures above have good looks also right? =)

and uh oh i didn't know Careen was there working as well. She blogs here. =)

Mali's Corner Char Koay Teow @ Danau Kota

Last Wednesday, i headed to this place in Danau Kota for supper with a few of my friends. It was a well known name around the area amongst Tunku Abdul Rahman College students where they were especially famous with their Nasi Lemak Ayam & Koay Teow Basah.

A relatively new shop situated in Danau Kota near to Platinum Victory 10 Condominium.

Along with YewJoe, FeiYeh, WeiSze and HoongWai we ordered 3 Koay Teow and 2 Nasi Lemak Ayam!! xD

Nasi Lemak Ayam - 4/5 RM5

The Nasi Lemak was awesome, still best as ever since the last time i had in over at their branch in Taman Bunga Raya. Their Sambal, one of the best ones in KL!! and i guess i don't have more to describe about this above right?

Char Koay Teow Basah - 4/5 RM5

I've not try this one above before despite studying in Tarc all these while, yea shame on me, and to my delight this Char Koay Teow tasted deliciously nice!

One of the rare ones that gives you the impression that it was fried Chinese Style, and what was special about it, i kinda feel that it's like a combination of both Malay & Chinese style.

You don't usually get Char Koay Teow by Chinese that looks like Wa Tan Hor/Yuin Yong wan. That i call 1Malaysia Lah! Lol. On top of that, this specific plate of Koay Teow includes 5 big prawns. You need to try it to believe it yourself.

Totally worth your money if you ask me. RM5. *Drools*

What makes me wonder is that the amount of people there weren't really much despite the fact they served are pretty good. Perhaps it's because of the Overrated Old Town Kopitiam which is on the same row.

PC Fair, Dim Sum & RM40 Crocs

PC Fair wasn't any different than the previous few ones and there's not much to say about either. Everyone knows that there will be lotsa stuffs there and such where you can bargain at a lower price with the return of sweats and being human sardines. Not that low anymore.

and it was a last minute random decision to head down to KL City Centre for the PC Fair this time round where both YewJoe and FeiYeh intended to get their hands on one of these.

One of the new item in this time's PC Fair. All these while there's only DVD player in the market that plays video/clips in a more standard format which is AVI and such. and thanks to the unlimited bandwidth for Streamyx users in Malaysia, many of us Malaysians download clips/videos in RMVB format and view them on our PC.

and short to say, this player above can directly play videos in such format on TV which is quite awesome. Don't have to convert to AVI and burn into DVD/VCD to watch on TV anymore. Just burn the RMVB video files or transfer it on pendrive to view the videos on TV.

The rest of the event. AVIRA's umbrella girl is obviously getting more attention than KASPERSKY's KungFu guy Jackie Chan. That's all. Lolx.

and because i read an earlier tweet by Andrew about this secretive random RM40 Crocs Sale in Bandar Utama, i called him up and found this place along with the ones mentioned above(excluding UmbrellaGirl and KungFu Guy).

a 5-10minutes expected "shopping" time for me turned out to be like erm 1 hour perhaps?

and 3 out of 5 of us bought Crocs.

JUICE 7th Anniversary @ Euphoria MOS

Thanks to Jessica and of course JUICE themselves, i attended the 7th Anniversary of the JUICE Magazine which was held in Euphoria, Bandar Sunway just yesterday night.

Headed to Maluri Cheras as soon as i finished work and met up with Ren and Yatz as well as Hikaru before heading to the event itself.

There were lots of people by the time we reached the venue, everyone looked pretty bored before the event officially start. It was around 10pm when we reached. Malaysian timing that is that the party was said to be starting at 9pm. =D

Soon, JoeyG the emcee of the night came out and made a brief intro with a few short talk and there was this fashion show going on.

it was quite a funny scene for me if you ask me that most of the photographers last night that cover the event taking pictures and stuffs going here and there even approaching the stage all by themselves, they were bloggers and i know all of them. Almost. Haha. DSLR is so easy to get nowadays.

There was this game session and the crowd cheered and shouted. It was all fun and it went to a more different level of fun when we, the bunch of bloggers in front of the stage pushing Tock up on the stage for one of the sessions.

The best dress session. So called. HAHA.

and he ended up winning a bottle of Vodka. Basket. Rawrr!

It was pretty funny as they decide who the winner are by who was cheered most. and for all the well dressed people on the stage, the crowd didn't really shouted and cheered. Prob. too bored for them already. and so, when its Tock's turn, we the bunch of bloggers cheered and eventually the cheers he got was above everyone's one.

aha just watch the video bah on Bloggers Pahwer! HAHA.

Later on, there was this artist which i have no idea who is she performed in a totally silence crowd, everyone was looking left right up down with just a small group of them paying attention on her. She must have lotsa courage and confidence doing that performance!!

The rest of the night was all out with the crowds and the people spinning at the deck. A night filled with fun? Not really, but not too dull either. It was some kinda escapada from real life for me if you ask me getting away from work that is.

Its all over the internet esp Twittersphere/Twitterverse. Road blocks started 2 days before the rally causing massive jams everywhere in the KL city. Quite a crazy incident as almost every of my friend who drove to work yesterday complained about the stupid road blocks set up where a 15minutes journey ended up completed in 1 hour.

and so today it's the day of the rally on protest on ISA.

Last year's around this time, there's this ongoing PCFair event and they have such similar protest as well, now they are having it again.

I'm currently following the live streams of tweets from fellow Malaysians on this protest. The power of online medium that is. I wonder that if this protest will be an annual event since there's no sign of taking down the ISA Act so far, and that makes me wonder if TMNet will start filtering #ANTIISA related stuffs on the internet. Aha! Crazy stuffs but i see that as something good for the country. Yes? No?

As long as there's no casualties and such, such demonstrations/rally is still acceptable bah.

and the conversation went on and wandered of somewhere else eventually. Anyways, its some common general stuffs/problems among boys and girls/men and women. Started from a statement that i heard previously from someone - "Men look for Sex and Women look for Affection".

From what i think, generally, Men do not look for sex ultimately but YES Women DO look for affection ultimately. In this age where most people insist on equal rights for both females and males, the strong almighty position of the males is really weakening already throughout the years and the more softer side of the males were shown with more females being independent having full control of their own lives.

Being on the side of the male myself, i must say that acceptance and understanding is what i'm looking for, and of course affection as well which involves love and care.

With lotsa girls nowadays who tried very hard to change every bit of their bf nowadays rather than totally accepting them for who they are, i find it pretty funny that why at the first place they would want to be with the guy then. Well of course, no offence to the girls, its something most girls need to go through.

Same goes to the guys, that we need to be a little bit more sensitive, less forgetful, and paying more attention to the girlfriend plus other more stuffs to cover as well being in a relationship. With that saying, i am still in the life-long process of learning. Not an easy lesson but it's definitely a very interesting and rewarding one i must say. =)

and about how this whole blog post was started with the statement :

There's a reason why God put us human as the rulers of the world and not any other living beings on earth and obviously, there's a big difference between dogs and humans. That's if you understand what i'm saying.
*of course, there's always some exception where some people are in a very sick & serious state already getting addicted to it. and i do believe that every single person seeks love ultimately.

Hennessy Artistry 25 July 2009 @ Bukit Kiara

The recent Hennessy Artistry event at Bukit Kiara was really crazy. Being able to attend it last year, i knew that this time round would be big and fun as well. All thanks to Nuffnang, and of course Nicholas & Yatz.. xD

It was already 11pm when i reach the place as i have some personal matters to attend to, and again, thanks to Nuffnang, i get to park inside the area which means i don't have to be like the people who park their car faraway from the venue. Some parked as far as across the road like 15 minutes walk from the place. Crazy party animals. =X

Upon entering the place, i realize that the placement of areas were completely different compared to last year's one which i think it was much better. There were more place to walk. Lolx

and of course, the crowd was massive. There was even a crazy long line of people out of the venue waiting to get into the place when i reached around 11PM.

The amount of people who were there, i bet you can get to know lots of new friends if you were to go a few rounds randomly talking to people. and because it is a Hennessy Artistry event, you can go ahead and get unlimited glass of free drinks for the girls. Haha.

Dominique Tsai was performing when i just got there and she is good. Then i started seeing familiar faces here and there.

Nicholas had 7 cups already i think and he's still obviously awake but Horng's face is like super red already. I wonder how many cups he down. Lolx
*ok la so from the comments, Horng said that's his first glass.

then shortly after that, someone tap my shoulder and there goes another random meeting.

It was my first time meeting Joanna. xD

then i saw both ShuJian and Ren who had a few cups already and they were chilling aside.

One turn behind and i saw a bunch of bloggers having fun dancing, touching, flirting, making out and etc. Uh oh did i just said something wrong? I mean they were having fun themselves, probably had excessive alcohol from the free flow that night already then.

It was then i bumped into Jolyn, the Penang blogger who traveled all the way to KL to attend this happening event she heard since last year.

then Su Ann was seen just arriving at the scene with a few of her friends. So many people already. No chance to talk with every single one of them. T_T

I was busy keeping in touch with some certain people where i totally ignored who was performing and such till this dude came up.

Fat Man Scoop. Many people claimed that he sucked because when he was up there, they kept playing the music for a short period of time and then stop and played another different music and stop again and this process was repeated. Some say that it was because he is fat. I don't really care anyways but that repeating process was how i stopped a while and wonder who was the one on stage haha. Good way to attract attention.

Met Cracz And Shanz. The family with their name added with a Z behind, just like Yatz. Haha. and i'm pretty sure both of them had fun cause i've read what shanz said. LOL.

Miss Yap was there as well working as an official photographer. If any of you do frequent Hypertune Magazine then i'm sure you've seen her pictures there before.
*and uh oh she's single. =X

The night went on with more people having more glasses of Hennessy enjoying the music and of course the company. Most of the invited artists have already performed by 12AM and it was all up to Mr SAM to entertain the crowd for the rest of the night.

There were these dancers on stage when Mr SAM was doing his thing but everyone else was not paying attention at the stage. Lol. At least that was what i saw, people were drinking like there's no tomorrow

However, it was still fun capturing some random rare people where i won't really meet daily as well as some of the usual people i meet quite frequently.

and so yea, that's the night. A night that have not much difference to me compared to other nights with such similar events. Such events that serve a main purpose for me meeting people and keeping in touch with them because there are certain people that is so hard to ask to hang out together even if its as simple as a YumCha session.

About the event itself, i somehow think that the lineup this year is not as good as last year's one, i was more interested in the lineup last year including Flo Rida and Machi where i have not much clue about the ones this year. Maybe its just me myself and of course i don't mean that the ones this year sucks, just not as good as i've expected. =)

However, the Party Zone Plan was awesome. Lol. I would still say that it is a good event bah.

Despite the car crash after the event and the departure with someone important, the event was one of the small thing that had me holding my smile at the end of day. It was great meeting every one of you who was there that night.

Rematch of Manchester United VS Malaysia XI.

Did anyone watch the friendly match just yesterday? The match Manchester United thrashed Hang Zhou Greentown 8-2?!! 10 goals in a match man!! Crazy. And do you know that Liverpool thrashed Singapore 5-0 as well earlier yesterday? Speechless...

Anyways, back to the start of this Manchester United Asia Tour 2009...

I was already very happy being able to be there watching them play against MalaysiaXI where the match was filled with lots of soccer entertainment. and when i know that there's a second match 2 days later, i decided to watch it as well.

It was a last minute decision made by the authorities that they will play in Malaysia again due to the bombing that happened in Indonesia. Quite a sad case i thought as the Indonesia fans failed to catch a glimpse of the English Champions. Boo to the bombing culprits. Brainless morons they are.

Anyway, it was after work that i headed to the stadium after meeting up with MikeYip at one of the train station. With the help of Nigel, we got our tickets which is RM58 each.

Compared to the first day of the match itself, this second match have a lesser crowd in expectation. It was the case obviously as its a working day itself. Not everyone is as crazy/stupid as me. xD

But there's still quite alot of stalls around the stadium selling foods and drinks to the people around. They were desperate for sales and even stick near to the entrance into the stadium in attempts getting more money for themselves.

Compared to the first match where the entrances to the stadium were crowded with fans all around, you can see that its quite quiet on the second match itself. Awesome? Lolx.

Fans were cheering with passion and they even did this Invisible Mexican Wave. O.O

At the same time, there were morons who have no idea what are they doing, wearing other team's jerseys to watch the match. If ever they do that in UK, i'm pretty sure they'll be beaten up or so, ending up in quite a bad condition because of their stupidity. Gah.

I wonder how much these cost.

As usual, there were warm up sessions by both teams.

and some *ahem* camwhoring sessions. HAHA Met up with Andrew with 2 unexpected meetings. Satkuru and Cedric that is. Totally Random ones. xD

It was a slightly different starting lineup this time with Owen and Macheda pairing up at the attacking line. A combination which i was interested in knowing the outcome as well.

There's a moment of silence in remembrance of the people who passed away in the Indonesia bombing incident right before the match.

The match started soon and just 10minutes after the game started, Macheda scored a goal against Malaysia where i was kinda expecting it. Not because i look down at the Malaysian side, but because of the last minute arrangement of the second match where the Malaysian side would be tired from the first match itself. and obviously, a team that plays regular soccer on a tight schedule compared with the Malaysian team, you can't really expect much from the Malaysian side.

during break time.

Not long after the first goal, Owen scored the second goal and secured the win with that goal. It was just 2 minutes after the first one.

The rest of the match were played pretty well by both sides and i am still amazed by the Malaysian side that they managed to defend well and stop a series of attacks by the English side despite the short 1 day resting time in between 2 matches.

There's a specific period in the 2nd half where no interesting attacks were made till Malaysia substitute a few of their players where they showed that the fight is not over yet posing a few threats to Manchester United.

Anyhow, the match ended 2-0 with 2 early goals and that was the rematch that is.

A not so interesting game of course but i couldn't ask for more after watching my favourite team in action 2 times in 3 days time. It was a crazy experience!!

Now that the Red Devils have won all 4 pre-season games in their tour to Asia, i hope that Ferguson is able to find the winning formula for the upcoming season with the Michael Owen that looks promising so far.

as for our own country, Malaysia, We shall see how things goes bah. xD

Oh and do you know that in the second match, there were more people supporting Malaysia compared to Manchester United?

Am still alive. Without any injuries. External that is.

Incident happened around 3.20am.

I was in the car with Jolyn.

i drove averagely on the road Jalan 19/70A as i want to make a right turn, signaling right slowing down where i was gonna turn right into Jalan Sri Hartamas 22.

and thanks to this Vios which came from behind where i have no idea whether he want to overtake me or want to make the same right turning... i climbed out from my car and i really felt like.... whacking that Indian real hard.

That bloody idiot should be planning to overtake my car because at that kinda speed that cause that impact on my car, there's not a chance that he is making a right turn, heck even the Tokyo drift guys couldn't drift into that junction as the road condition there doesn't allow such stunts.

What happen after the bang? I quickly headed to the left side of the road holding on to my brakes.... the bloody idiot? He went up to the divider and managed to avoid the first tree only to find himself banging the second tree.

Duh.

All i hope now is that Jolyn will be fine. FML.

The Best Damn Thing

I don't know where to start this. Nor i know how to describe about all this. Sigh.

Its quite complicated, all the pieces that connects everything together, bringing stuffs together making all the things possible up till this day. Never in my life i would imagine that this run would be this long.

There were lots of sweats, not to mention love and care. It was quite a long way if you ask me. Many would say that Wow, that's amazing. Its crazy!

From a simple question : a/s/l? way back in the era of ICQ where i got the contact through some forum i used to be active in, it evolved into daily smses and calls. With many topics to talk about till just a few same topic going on and on. From excitement and adventurous to matured and steady and feeling all comfortable being with each other.

It was quite an interesting ride i must say, a ride in this phase of my life where i would not dare to imagine myself being in it years ago. A ride with a person whom is special to me.

A person where people would asked me from time to time about its existence which remains mysterious up till today. Some people still do not know that there's this person. For me i just kept it anonymous revealing it from time to time whenever i wanted to, but for most of the time, i don't really talk directly about it to everyone and show the whole world about it. That is of course for certain reason. Lets not even talk about why. =)

Back to the ride, there were uncountable precious moments, happy ones, struggling ones, memorable ones, interesting ones and more of course where every of them played an important role in making this whole ride possible for the two of us.

Up till today, i couldn't really ask for more. Really, i am contented.

It's been 6 years(approx.) already. I have no idea how will things go after tomorrow, but one thing i know, i have no regrets. At All!

After all...

You're the best damn thing that happen in my life.
and i thank GOD for you!

Glory Glory Malaysia United? Nah Manchester United!

It was this blogpost where i join this competition winning 1 pair of RM98 tickets to watch my favourite soccer team in action. I was all excited, with my inner self jumping up and down looking forward to the day to come. Thanks to Smirnoff!

On that day itself, i headed to KY's place to meet up with a few of them where i tagged along as i don't want to head to the stadium alone. T_T

It was a crazy day. Since noon, I've been reading tweets and messages posted online through mobiles that there were people going to the stadium as early as 1PM and the police block the entrance to the parking area and there was traffic jam everywhere.

All thanks to Horng a.k.a Horny, i reached there safely tagging along in his car where we found our parking place in a nearby garden. * i was told later on that people parked as far as where Astro was. O.O

Walking towards the main entrance, there were lots of stalls along the way, food, drinks and soccer related merchandises were displayed all over the place. This was where show his support to the national team by purchasing a Malaysia jersey and changed it immediately! Lol.

I somehow kinda understand how soldiers feel before they go into a war, thousands of thousands of people were walking towards to same direction and you're just one tiny little dot among them. With all the sweat. The differences are we are walking while soldiers march and of course, they have heavy armors and weapons equipped and most of the people there were in shorts, slippers and shirts. Aha!!

We had a group picture before we head to the entrance with much more MORE people there, Horng and Carol were the lucky ones having the RM308 tix, that's the reason we took a group picture earlier before heading to different gates. Bleargh!

Upon entering the stadium, i find myself being among some 95,000 soccer fans!! Even if a game at Old Trafford(Home Stadium of Manchester United) is full, that's 76,000 only. But of course, the atmosphere in UK is much different compared to here.

I have to admit that going to Old Trafford and watching a game there is much more exciting and you'll get pretty hype up anticipating the whole thing clapping and cheering and shouting the WHOLE 90 MINUTES! With chants and specially compose songs/cheers the whole game, its totally a different level compared to the game last Saturday.

I don't mean that the game sucks. It was awesome, just that its more awesome over there in UK. xD

Anyways, the crowd shouted and cheered from time to time, heck there's even a Mexican wave going on before the match and everyone cant wait for the soccer entertainment by the English Champions.

Despite the sweat i had before the game, i was still happily anticipating the game that was starting really soon at that time. The whole stadium was in red, literally that is and there was only a few small patch of Harimau Malaya supporters. In Yellow.

Lineup was announce, everyone cheered.

Camera was pointed at some random fan wearing a Manchester United jersey with Owen Number 7 at the back, everyone CHEERED LOUDER!

That was how much people liked Owen despite he used to played for Liverpool. Ha.

Soon the game started and the Malaysia team was clearly still dreaming at the start of the game, not that i'm surprise of, till Fariza made a few quality saves with the team showing the crowd what they are capable of, defending and marking the English side while making a few surprise attack that had its force stop at the last point where the shots from Malaysian players were really really weak. Maybe just 5% of how Roberto Carlos does his free kick. Eh wait, 1%.

2 goals in the first half by Manchester United was totally in expectation and i was expecting more goals. What was totally unexpected is, the all new hero now, Amri Yahyah scored a goal just before the 2nd half whistle.

Everyone was crazy shouting, many of the Malaysian Manchester United fans cheered for them as well including me myself.

The half time resulted in lots of camwhoring sessions with lots of people going in and out the stadium getting drinks and food. Tried to tweet but failed. xD

Soon, second half started and everyone was back at their seats looking forward for more entertainment. Most of us don't expect a goal from the Malaysian side i think though they played pretty well and again, a mistake by substitute keeper, Foster gave Amri Yahyah a second chance to scored and gain instant fame in this very start of the Asia Tour.

Many of the fans started to cheer and shout whenever Malaysia make an attack and Manchester is starting to play seriously. This was went the whole stadium started shouting for Owen and...

Soon enough, he was substituted in the field. Same to Giggs.

The game went on with a few interesting attacks made by both sides and the Malaysian side tried pretty hard to maintain a draw which result in a classic Owen goal less than 10 minutes to 90 mins of the game.

The winning goal of Owen was superb but Man of the match of the day was Amri Yahyah. Obviously, he was the topic the next day, scoring 2 goals against the English Champions, the Malaysian side did quite a good job entertaining the crowd as well as giving us shocks and surprises in the game.

It was crazy alright being in the crowd taking the train. But i was all happy being able to watch an interesting match. A very very interesting one i shall say. Was more happy when i check my twitter, i read that there's going to be a second match which of course i went to again. Haha.

It will be One special day in Malaysian Sports History for many years to come.
Maybe we will see our own countrymen shining in the World Cup?

Call me insane or crazy whatsoever, i went to watch the match between Manchester United and Malaysia for the second time yesterday. o.O

It was an insane day, going out the whole day since morning heading to work and going to the stadium straight after work . However i'm a happy man. To watch Manchester United playing twice in 3 days.

I still haven have the time to filter the lousy pictures taken to blog about both matches. Wondering should i blog about it or not. Anyways, here's another video after the previous comparison of English fans and Malaysian fans. Enjoy!

Though exhausted, i have no regrets watching it again although it was a less interesting match compared to the one 2 days ago.

Difference between Malaysian Fans and English Fans.

The English soccer fans have been well known for being extremely supportive of their local soccer clubs with chants, songs, cheers of their own whenever they are watching their team playing in a stadium.

As a Malaysian who's a Manchester United fan, i was lucky enough to win a trip to go all the way to the Theatre of Dreams to watch the match where ManUtd face Liverpool early this year.

and just yesterday, i went to Bukit Jalil National Stadium to watch the match between Manchester United against Malaysia XI, a relatively young team where 90% of the soccer fans there in the stadium didn't put much hope in them football entertainment wise.

However, the Malaysian side put a good play and managed to get the respect of their own country people who're watching the match where everyone was actually expecting all the entertainment coming from the ManUtd players. But to see a performance that was that awesome coming from our own country players, It was ecstatic.

Anyways, the main point of this post is the level of support of the soccer fans. In England, the supporters would support their team even though they were relegated, the players made a serious mistake, own goals happen, they screwed up and whatsoever.

See the difference between Malaysian Soccer fans and English Soccer fans in the video that i've recorded below.

Notice the difference? The people in England went crazy and they were shouting at the top of their voice cheering and chanting when their team scored. Malaysian shouted YES, but you can see that its different. Very different.

Fellow Malaysians have something to learn in that where i can really see that this relatively young Malaysian side have what it takes to play and shine at International level, we need to support our own country's soccer scene.

Going all the way to the stadium to support our team when they are facing other countries in the international scene. Yes the players need to be hardworking and train hard and have the passion and determination, but we have to be there for them as well to support them, with that, they'll have higher morale where they can go even further.

If the players can maintain how they played like yesterday and us Malaysians could support them all the way, why am i not surprise that they can make it to World Cup next time?

We Asians are much more smaller in size and we are no match for those Europeans who are much bigger in size and so its impossible to get a place in the international scene. What?!

See what South Korea accomplished a few years ago beating teams like Spain and Italy in the World Cup competition and got 3rd place!!

What say you?

Woooohoo!! Just came back from Bukit Jalil National Stadium where Manchester United won 3-2 against Malaysia.

and ITS CONFIRM THAT THERE'LL BE A SECOND MATCH!! ROARR!!! I want to watch again!! The second match will be on Monday 8.45pm at Bukit Jalil National Stadium as well.

Will do a more detail post on today's match soon!!

It was more than a month ago that i visited this place for lunch.

With my beloved of course. We were in Taipan to settle some stuffs and so we went around hunting for food around the place after we finished our business.

and i was actually attracted to the place when i saw this...

Set-Lunch Local & Western from RM7.99. O.O

Parked nearby and headed in to the place and to my amazed, it is quite a nice, cozy and comfortable place. Nice to have a peaceful meal enjoying your time!

Had a look on their set lunch menu and again i was cheated by the promotion they placed out of the place. Lolx. From RM7.99 onwards la but only one choice and its Chicken and Egg Salad. T_T.

Well, never mind, because we liked the place so we proceed with our orders.

Spaghetti Bolognese for the beloved. Quite normal though just like every other same dish that you can get at various places. So i will say that its fine. Average rating for that.

Grilled Lamb Chop with Mushroom Sauce for me. I didn't request on how many percent i would like them to cook. and so the meat turn out to be a bit hard to chew though, but it was still all good for me. I loved the potato wedges though. Haha weird. An average rating for that as well. =)

We had Nachos as well and this one i think that its pretty good. I like it. How is it? Crispy? Lolx.

Anyways, both our sets includes one soup of the day and one cup of tea, though i felt a bit cheated by the promotion, i enjoyed having my meal at this place.

Would like to try this though if i ever visit this place again.

What i have to say about this place? Basically the food is just normal but the environment, the place is comfortable to be in. Give it a try perhaps?

Birthday Business for Nigelsia

It was a day filled with laughter, joy and a handful of wishes for Nigel.

We had an early birthday celebration for Nigel just last Saturday. The Mastermind planned something up for the birthday boy to play at 1 Utama where a few of us were involved in it.

Lots of walking.

It took us all a few hours but it ended pretty well where we brought the birthday boy to the next destination for a small little birthday party.

Keretapi Tidak Maju - KTM

I remember that the first time i used the KTM train service was soemtime around Form 2-3 where i'll head to the city center with some of my friends during the weekend to some malls. Mid Valley in most cases.

Back then, it was quite annoying that they'll always announce that there's this technical error/failure and the train will be late all the time thus making the waiting time to be extremely long.

It is one of the most painful time when you're waiting for the train at KTM stations knowing you have stuffs to do and need to head to the destination asap before a certain time and suddenly there's this announcement saying that the train will be late for 45 minutes.

Taking such public transport prove to be a pain in my ass throughout my college life. I have to bare with it because i have no choice at all being not lucky enough to be like other youths who got a free car to drive straight after they get their license.

and so its been quite some time already since i last take a public transport, specifically one whole year for KTM trains. Just last week, i took the KTM train again and...

It appears that their service remain unchanged with no improvement at all.

Trains arrives late and the interval between each train is very long. Like 30 minutes.
Trains will stop somewhere in the middle of the track all of a sudden for like 20-40 minutes. Sudden Randomness.

Sigh.

and the government encourages people to take more public transport. How? Tell me la HOW!

the best thing of all is i have to go through all this KTM train shit all over again when i start working. Gah. and i have yet mentioning that i have to deal with the RapidKL buses as well!! ROAR!!!

Why can't KTM trains be like LRT trains where the interval between trains are like 5 minutes only?

I DON'T WANT TO WAKE UP AT 6.30AM FOR A JOB THAT STARTS AT 9PM LAHHH!!!

review on Public Enemies

Thanks to United International Pictures, i attended a media screening on the movie Public Enemies on Tuesday morning at GSC Mid Valley.

It is that kinda movie which is pretty straight forward, here's the bad guys and here's the good guys and there's this fight between them. The fight itself seems like it's neverending, the gun fights attracted my attention and i had a good time watching them!

Oh anyways here's the bad guy, Johnny Depp as John Dillinger.

and here's the good guy, Christian Bale as Melvin Purvis.

I think that it was pretty interesting watching a show that is in an earlier timeline. It was an era where banks robbery can be done easily without much fuss i think lolx and JD was roaming around with his gang robbing one bank after another putting the officials into shame.

To add on to that, JD got caught a few times and escaped a few times which shows that how bad the officials were. The officials? They are simply the Bureau of Investigation which became FBI later on.

So there goes the title of Number One target and Public Enemy labeled to JD. Throughout the whole movie, they showed the pursuit, the plan to capture JD and how it went on and on and on.

There were bits of romance in the movie, showing how a man can go after a woman in a straight forward manner. Very very direct i would say and i would be more than delight if i could witness that whole process with my own eyes in real life or better still, do it myself. Watch it then you'll know what i mean.

I think that Johnny Depp did a great job portraying the character, fierce, intelligent, capable, and though i hate to admit that, he was good at being the type of bad guy in the movie that woman will get attracted to and love them blindly. =X

About Christian Bale, he was overshadowed by Joker in Dark Knight and didn't show much of what he is capable of in Terminator Salvation and so i was glad that he have quite a fair parts of acts in this movie.

There were parts that were slow but i can still accept it as i enjoy the whole time watching the movie and i like the storyline and how they build it up at a pace that i could fully understand what is going on, who is talking to who and etc.

and well, as usual, such movies will have such endings. Ya know, how will bad guys end up.

So yea, though this is not any futuristic sci-fi movie with lots of computer graphics and such where this movie was film with a much more earlier time line where you could see Trains with Gas, do give this movie a try! After all, a movie with the likes of Johnny Depp & Christian Bale won't go any bad right?

My Rating for this movie is 7/10

Love Life With Boost!

Ever since i read about this new juice drink in town on kelz's blog where she praised it pretty much, i wanted to try it very badly but couldn't find a reason to convince myself going to KLCC all by myself just to get a cup of juice.

So when i knew that she arranged an informal meeting with the couple who brought Boost to Malaysia, i immediately agreed on the meeting and was all excited about it. I'm not a big fan of gas drinks and though i love coffee drinks, its not such a good idea to frequent Starbucks that much as excessive coffee will cause damage to your body.

But for juice, its different, its refreshing and it taste well especially with a blend mixing a few different ingredients altogether in a single cup.

and so, just last week, i headed to KLCC for the informal meeting and tried the highly recommended juice drink by Kelli where i find myself falling for the juice as well.

There were 3 different categories which is Low-Fat Smoothies, Super Smoothies and Crushes where all of them were 98% fat free! Good news for juice lovers/coffee haters who wants to lead a healthy life boosting up their immune system in a age with more and more upcoming health issues!!

As for that day itself we got a few different cups of Boost Juice to try which includes :

Mango Tango Crush (Fruit Crushes)
King William Chocolate (Indulgence)
Energiser Juice (Fresh Juices)

We had a good laughs on the stories shared by the friendly couple on their adventure to various countries and Kelli even shared her experience when she was still studying in Australia where Boost came from, people would line up in a long queue everyday just to get their daily dosage of juice from Boost.

Mamak Rage

Hours ago there were live feeds from Facebook users where i was watching Michael Jackson's memorial service broadcasted live on CNN all the way from Staples Center, Los Angeles.

I must admit that i'm not a big fan of MJ but i admire his passion and contribution and seriously, those who was watching the live broadcast just now, if you were not moved by the words by Paris, MJ's daughter, you really need to see the doctor.

Anyways, that's not the main point of this post. The main point of this post is what i'm gonna show you. I saw this like just 1 hour ago.

A bunch of people, with parang knife and sticks smashing the tables and chairs at a Mamak stall near my house, 2 Proton cars, a Wira and a Saga and a few bikes. It was really loud and it lasted for like 5 minutes i think.

Have no idea what was the reason behind the vandalism act, perhaps there isn't enough milk in the Teh Ais or maybe they uses Mee to cook Maggi Goreng. Nah i think the people weren't happy that they charged RM0.10 more on their Teh O Ais compared to other mamak stalls.

Hope that nobody got hurt though and gosh the place i'm staying in just got a little bit more dangerous.

I'm scared.

Youtube Craze and Such. Community, Friends & Relationships.

Call me an outdated person or perhaps an idiot, i was never a hardcore fan of Youtube like some of my friends who would logon to Youtube and watch some kickass clips sharing it all around on MSN, Blogs, Twitter and such.

The first time i knew about this very dude was when a friend of mine sharing a YouTube video link on twitter with me being curious clicking on it.

View the video if you're a Michael Jackson fan. View it TWICE if you're not!

I went on and watched a few more videos and found out that this dude had a primary account here and the MJ video above was on his secondary account.

This dude here is Kevin and his YouTube channel is 5th on the list of the Current YouTube All Time Most Subscribed Channels. Thats Crazy Ok!

He's really Wow.

I mean like how many college freshman get invited by a professor to give a lecture in class and somehow out of the blue, there's this mini dance party happening with the professor dancing as well!

Its really O.O and i LOL-ed at that!!

Of course, he wasn't the only one being famous on YouTube. And in every different community, the few famous people will make friends with each other.

Just like Su Ann & Kenny in the Malaysia Blogosphere. But i didn't know that it could happen in YouTube!!

I mean like, i post my videos, you post your videos and people love our videos and we got lots of subcribers and we became friends through YouTube somehow, Indirectly. I don't see how it could become like that. In real life, it happens...

I'm pretty sure that Kelvin a.k.a KevJumba made a few friends through YouTube and one of them is MichellePhan.

Oh maybe MichellePhan is not famous enough(for some people) and so here's another YouTube Famous personality, Christine a.k.a HappySlip where her channel is 16th on the Current YouTube All Time Most Subscribed Channels. She TAGGED Kevin here and here's Kevin's reply to the tag.

and uh oh, a group which consists some of the big names(including the 3 mentioned above) on YouTube actually gathered together for a live performance in New York early last month.

Of course, these examples of friend making process above don't only applies to famous people in their respective online communities, it applies to every single person in the community itself.
*just that i can get more specific examples to talk about because they are famous.

I actually find all these connections, friendships, strings that are attached and pulled between several strangers from different backgrounds, communities, and even countries where they get together knowing each other, It's all amazing.

50 years back, who could've imagine that you could make friends in such a way, finding your buddy or perhaps your soul partner.

Through mediums such as Blogs, Youtube, Facebook, Friendster and maybe Twitter/Plurk with just you being behind a screen connecting to something call the Internet/Cyberspace with another thing with the name Broadband Connection.

Thank God For Internet!

URBANSCAPES 2009 @ KLPAC

One of the largest creative arts festival of the year in Kuala Lumpur. Urbanscapes 2009 came back after a successful round back in 2008.

When i left home, it was raining and when i was approaching the venue, it looks like it was going to rain. The time was around 5PM.

Based on the amount of car parks area being full with more vehicles parking all around Sentul Park all the way from the entrance of the park to the place the event was held, it shows that the response this year was better than last year's one.

There were lots of stalls showcasing various items where most of them are self-created brands including clothings, accessories and many more interesting stuffs.

Not really related, there were signs around the place reminding the public on cleanliness and they even have mobile toilets which was placed in a rather interesting location.

There were lots of indie music artists, some on schedule with performance while some were performing randomly around the area. It caught the attention of the people around and hopefully that helped in getting more fans for the various struggling local artists.

Lots of people were seen going in and out, here and there where in my opinion were pretty restless with no certain main objective and just spending their time doing nothing.

I was one of the people there with no specific objective and here is one of the stuffs that got my attention. A few percussionist were gathering passer by to join in the fun in the percussion and displayed some simple beats to the public.

the whole thing did not only attracted me, it attracted many more people. MANY MORE!

Aaron, Ren and Lionel joined in the fun as well. =)

Had the most random meeting with Natalie Fong during one of the breaks of the percussion and gosh, its been time since we last met. and it appears that this was the only picture i took of myself during Urbanscapes 2009. Lolx

Palate Palette's was one of the stalls that attracted queues of people. They were pretty good!

Oh and in the KLPAC area, there was this live twitter feed and i saw an interesting tweet straight away. Quite funny i thought. No?

The rest of the time being there, i was walking everywhere aimlessly having random bumps into some fellow bloggers and this was my last entertainment during the event.

Some fire business that was going on out of the building. Pretty cool i think. It was 7PM already.

If you were looking some specific performance by some indie band/artists on this post, then sorry to disappoint you, i didn't really pay much attention to them. Was spending time looking and noticing on every other little things such as the tweet on KennySia shown above.

Left the scene when the fire thingy ended and had dinner with Yatz, Ren & Aaron.

Most of the feedback i read on Twitter & Facebook shows that they enjoyed being at Urbanscapes 2009 while there were a number of them who were tired and annoyed.

My say?

I think that basicly its similar to PIKOM PC Fair. You'll be happy if you attend it for a purpose.

If you head to Urbanscapes 2009 for a reason such as watching & supporting some indie performance or maybe just want to have some treasure hunting in the flea market, meeting up with random people whom you know, this event will be pretty good for you!!

But if you head to this event with no clue at all having no idea on what you want, then you'll be utterly disappointed being sweaty and all complaining about this & that.

Just one thing i noticed. I overheard a few person standing around the ticketing area of the event mumbling these

"Eh, how come they didn't purchase the tickets and got to get it wan?".

From my understanding, most people thinks that in order to gain access to everything including the flea market in the event, you need to purchase the tickets at RM35 or at RM25 if you purchase earlier at various outlets before this.

The truth is, if you're not interested in the concert, the live bands performances, the indie artists showcasing their talents, the movie screening and such, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THE TICKET!!

I believe that there were a large number of people who were there just because of the flea market and they were there to hunt for stuffs thats all. Not for the performances and stuffs. These people were unaware that there is no need to purchase the tickets but bought it.

Well, maybe what i've noticed isn't true but anyways, i think that the event was a succesful one introducing many hidden talents, shops, brands and etc to the massive public.

Urbanscapes 2010 will be even better!
That's if they are doing it again. =)

Playing Fire @ Urbanscapes 2009

Just came back from Urbanscapes 2009 + Dinner + Yumcha.

Saw lotsa people there and HEARD that lotsa people were there as well. Many left when i reached Haha.

It was all good. Especially the weather. Not as hot as last year's one!! xD

Anyways, for those who left the scene earlier in the afternoon, this was one of the stuffs you missed out.

Me thinks me pictures is not that nice and i think if you search online for more urbanscapes 2009 pictures in the next few days, you'll see more nicer one on this specific fire thingy which i don't know what they call it.

I think it was pretty awesome. There were even 2 girls involved in this fire thingy and i think all of them accidentally burnt themselves in the process.

Must have hurt.

Will do another post with more random pictures on Urbanscapes 2009. Till then. Nights.

College Life & Graduation Day.

*this is a long post. =)

Waking up 2 hours before class starts taking 2 buses before i reach college to attend a lecture/tutorial where most of the times i'll fall asleep in class.There are times where i would overslept in bus and ended up in the middle of KL.

Walking under the hot sun or under the rain and waiting for public transport to get home or college.

It was all tiring, but fun. I could see more things around and ponder upon more stuffs back then.

I entered Tunku Abdul Rahman college in the year 2004. Just after my National Service i started my college life enrolling myself in one of the computer science course.

Few friends made, though not many but we were one heck of a group. I could remember being a good student staying back in college during breaks going to the library or study room during my very first semester.

That was the only semester i was good. xD In the next few semester through out my Diploma course, i started skipping classes going out during breaks, to various YumCha & CC sessions.

YumCha - Going to a nearby drinking place and tok cok.
CC - Going to a Cyber Cafe playing computer games.

It was just the beginning of the DOTA rampage era and that was when i started picking up DOTA. Playing at least 10 games per day every single day with fellow coursemates be it in Cyber Cafes or on Blueserver, a local server that provides a platform for online internet users to play Dota.

The Diploma days was extremely enjoying for me. Me and my coursemates, we will travel all the way to a destination and just hang out there for no reason. Out of the blue.

The above picture was taken when we were having Bak Kut Teh in Johor Bahru. We bunked in one of the coursemate's house and it wasn't even during the semester break.

It was last minute and freaking random. The JB guy, KokHao plan to skip class on Thursday & Friday and head back to his hometown earlier. Then, with no specific reason, a few of us started a MSN chatroom.

Within 20 minutes, we decided to follow him all the way to JB just for the heck of it. Not 1 but 3 cars if i'm not mistaken with more than 10 of us.

What did we do in JB? Eat normal food, Sleep, and go to Cyber Cafe. As if there ain't any of those back in KL. Haha.

Making trips to Seremban to another coursemate's house was fun as well. Same thing. Random, pretty last minute and just for the heck of it.

the most crazy trip we had was going all the way to Kuantan to attend one of our friend's funeral.

It was in the midst of our exam. Some Maths subject i think and we, 3 cars headed all the way to Kuantan in the afternoon after an exam in the morning to attend the funeral service.

Came back in the night the next day where we sat for the next exam paper the day after.

Going to Kajang for its Satay, heading to the cinemas multiple times, Sang from our heart in various SingK sessions looking at the girls who passes by out of the room. That was really some DIPLOMA days for me.

Oh and we do stupid stuffs such as the picture above. Having the same nickname on MSN or replying each other on MSN status.

The bunch of people which includes PengYee, HoongWai, ChinYen, KokHao, BoonPean, YewJoe and etc. You guys rawks!!

However, like what people normally say, time flies and it was just in a blink of an eye i completed my Diploma Course in May 2006. Thank God!

With no certain direction of what to do, i stopped studying for one whole year...

Till 2007... i enrolled myself again, this time in an Advance Diploma Cum Degree course. Information Systems Engineering that is.

My Advance Dip Days were pretty NOT happening. Not like my diploma days as i've said above. Nevertheless, new friends were made with new cliques and such. Though stopped 1 whole year, i manage to get myself back into study mode and attended most of the tutorials.

Yah tutorials but not lectures. Typical Tarc Students if you want to know where we will ask our friends to take attendance for us during lectures.

Falling asleep in class is still what i did most of the times during my adv dip days. Hoped i didn't snore too loud ha.

Anyways, i had my 6 months of industrial training where the company i was in had 2 times of break in & theft case. Must be some "black shop" i assume. Don't wanna further talk about that crappy period.

Unlike my Diploma Days where we will have some last minute random trips to other places, we still have our share of YumCha & Karaoke sessions.

The rest of the story, is just some normal story about a student doing his course. Going to class, Skipping class, Going to exams, Failing and passing the papers and such.

Not much happenings in my college days then as it was 2008. The year i became active stepping my foot into the Malaysian Blogoshpere knowing and mixing more people out of my college.

and FINALLY, i completed my course and it was the graduation day of my Bachelor Degree just last Saturday.

I couldn't be more happier that day. Having mixed feelings all over, i woke up extremely early and headed all the way to Subang to pick the GF up.

My brain was blank the whole journey to Subang.

Good thing that the speeches during the ceremony were pretty short.

One minute, I wasn't even ready, the next minute, i'm already heading up stage to shake hands and get my scroll getting my picture taken by the official photographer.

Headed out to take all the graduation pictures. Pictures that i will treasure. =)

review on Blood The Last Vampire

It was the 10 of June. Thanks to Nuffnang the main source of my Movie Going activities in these recent months.

and this will be an extremely short review.

From the makers of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon & Hero. Yadda Yadda Yadda. Zzz.

I was actually anticipating for this movie when i first saw the trailer in cinemas and it LOOKED nice. but i was wrong. TOTALLY WRONG.

Though the main character, the girl look pretty attractive, she's only have this one specific facial expression on her face through out the movie. I believe that's her character in this movie that was made based on a popular anime series.

but its just plain.

and i don't care how popular it was on anime but this whole movie is just pure crappy. Some of the effects are like.... T_T

I rather watch Dragonball EVOLUTION if you ask me. Storyline not nice, CG effects sucks and etc.

Maybe its only suitable for those die hard fans of the anime series bah, if you're not one of them then don't bother watching this movie, it's a waste of time.

and ah how much did i rated Dragonball Evolution? 5.5 hmmm

Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. With the existence of KLCC with lots of office buildings around the area, this specific street is one of the noisiest & busiest street in Kuala Lumpur.

and it is one of the main spot of KL night life with Zouk Club KL establishing themselves for years already along with the relatively new club with a 4 season theme, Quattro.

Nah, the MyVi isn't drifting.

review on Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

Yesterday was the first day of business operation for the GSC in Tropicana City Mall. They were having free screenings before this to the public to promote about the new GSC outlet in KL.

With sayings that the tickets of this new Transformers movie was all sold out till next week in most of the major shopping malls in KL which includes Mid Valley, Pavilion, Times Square, 1 Utama, Cineleisure and etc, i gave up hunting for tickets in those places and went to the relatively new mall where most people were still unaware of. xD

and to my surprise, there were like a few hundreds tickets left for more than 10 screenings.

So, i watched this very movie just yesterday night. and i didn't know it was a 2.5 hours movie.

Awesome!

Mr Shia was back with his Bee in this 2nd Transformers. A must i guess since both of them made a name for themselves 2 years back. Of course, there were more Robots this time round. I like!

A few more which i don't know what's their name except for Ironhide. Which i think that it's one of the bad part of the movie. The robots don't really seems important this time round, i don't know which robot is which vehicle except for Ironhide.

and the Twins. Haha. They were funny. Well maybe the team do not want to confuse us with too much characters to remember and a few big ones is enough to make this movie awesome.

and well, the leader of Autobots, Optimus Prime is as awesome as ever stealing the show from the start till end in the movie. Haha.

He's like the expert in fighting from Cybertron. It maybe just a punch and a kick for the other robots be it Autobots or Decepticons but for Optimus he can use thunderkick, almighty punch, along with his blade/sword slashing everyone.

He's like the Guan Gong of 3 Kingdoms. 关云长 if you know who he is. A general in the olden days who was said to be a battle expert who can fight with 100 soldiers on his own.

So yea, it was all good!! With all the CG effects all over the movie with fighting scenes from start till the end, i was sitting still without even knowing that the movie lasted for 2.5 hours till i came out from the cinema.

If i were to complain about this movie, i would say that the movie would be better if the storyline was further elaborated where i think that some parts was a bit brief.

Overall, it was awesome!! The explosions and all the military scenes and uh oh i didn't know about the history of the robots. It was kinda awesome when they talk about the Primes and the betrayal of The Fallen with Jet Fire a Decepticon who've turned sides bringing them to Egypt and all. It was interesting!

I would be more than delighted if they make a movie on that, the history of Cybertron. No Optimus Prime, no Bumblebee, no Devastator with balls, no Megatron, no humans, no Megan Fox!!

and ah, about Megan Fox.

She's Hawt. =X

MUST GO TO THE CINEMA AND WATCH THIS MOVIE OK?

review on Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

It was 2 weeks ago i watched this movie with her. At GSC 1 Utama.

When the first one came out, i enjoyed watching it pretty much and the thing i remembered most is the "I want Gum Gum, you Dum Dum" part if you know what i mean. =D

However, a few friends who watched the movie said that it wasn't that nice as the first one and some even say it sucked. That's why i watch it this late, as there's the only movie that we haven watch 2 weeks ago.

It was good to see Owen Wilson again in a movie. Seeing him just makes me laugh especially when he's so small in size in the movie but still so brave picking up fights with the villains along with the Rome Knight.

Talking about the Villains, they were pretty pathetic. Not to say that their acting sucks or what, just that their part in this movie is really, erm entertaining? Being a well known character in their own era, they were quite popular villains in history with their evil deeds and stories, but in the movie, they're just like little horse. Listening to the Pharaoh and obeying him.

How can that happen?

Haha, but well that was what makes the movie interesting. and Funny as well. =D

and so, the Pharaoh was planning to take over the world. Quite a stupid idea in modern age though and there were all in the biggest museum in United States.

Ben Stiller who starred as the bodyguard in the first movie is back in this movie and this time he got a female "helper" to help him go through the mess in the museum.

and i must say that there were still parts that are funny and i enjoyed watching it.

Scenes like when they met Abraham Lincoln and the Thinker Statue. I was laughing then. Lolx.

and the end of the movie, the world denomination plan, failed because of Abraham Lincoln alone stopping Pharaoh's troops of army that fled away was classic la. It can be quite stupid to some people that it lasted just that long and ended in a snap.

So called World Denomination Plan that is.

Haha.

It wasn't that bad after all after watching it having an entertaining time there with my girl. =D

and i think that she's quite pretty leh. Right? xD
